I woke this morning and said the Lords Prayer as I do every day. I grumbled and started rolling out of bed with the pain train coming into the station before my feet even hit the floor. I put my snazzy macro shooting outfit on and made my bed. Had my cuppa and got all I needed and headed out (still dark)

As I was walking along my undies started falling down. Yes I had pants on. It was a bit annoying but there was no way I was heading back to change them. I first Photographed a wasp and then a Native Green and Gold Nomia Bee and came across this Tree Hopper. In between subjects at one point I stopped pulling my undies up. I have pants on and they will cover my back side so to speak.

It was at that point I realized this is what my Faith in Jesus Christ is like.

Hear me out. Jokes aside. Though we can have a sense of humor

Jesus took the nails for all of us. Our Father in Heaven raised him from the dead 3 days later. We cant see it but there is an amazing book called the Bible. This was written over a period of 2 thousand years. So its not something that happened in recent times but it did happen and because I chose to believe and know it is true Jesus has my backside in all situations. I know that soon Jesus is returning with the book of life to Judge all of us.

My undies falling down and not being the way they should is unpleasant. But My pants still have me covered.

My life right now is not pleasant.

Jesus has that covered!

I have not seen 1 of my children now for over 2 years. I did nothing to deserve being treated this way. I have experienced so many nasty things the last 3 years especially. But I do my best each day.

I don't chose the Pagan way of Easter. I have no Easter eggs or buns to eat. I chose instead to remember what Jesus did for us. I do this alone. But not alone.

I am broken. More than that. I am not sure I am even proud to call myself a human being at this point.

I know that even though my life is tough there is always someone worse off.

Philippians 4:13

I can do this because Jesus has my back side and my front side and my top side and my underside covered!

Enjoy Easter with your loved ones. Hold them tight.

Have a nice day

Though a year 'round bird here, we haven't seen nearly as many or nealy as enough as in past years. But now that the rain has returned and the grasslands with that, they are back in force, flashing their iridescent blue-green above and bright white below. They, like so many swallows, forage on the wing for insects, making a .... cheery call while doing so. It's almost a gurgling that is another sign that spring is full here, breeding is in full season, and it's a busy, busy time for these marvelous acrobats.

Though I have many Tree Swallows, I'm not entirely happy: when they do land, they like barbed-wire, the top of pipes and gate posts, and why not? They are a symbol of the western grasslands as much as barbed-wire and gate posts. They will wing in, land of barbed wire 20 feet away, and make composition difficult. But who am I to complain. For years, I was happy just to get one to sit still, with just a hint of a breeze ruffling their breast feathers.

They're a favorite bird because they use Western Bluebird Boxes for breeding and often help the bluebirds bring up the bluebird brood! Evidently, housing is scarce, the base of the prairie a little dangerous, so so why not help with the feeding a care of young Western Bluebirds. The faster the bluebirds vacate, the fasvetr the tree swallows can get down to house cleaning (literally), rearrange the "furniture" so to speak, and get on with the just of raising their own usually 3-5 tree swallow chicks. In this way, the symbiotic relationship helps both species and keeps the boxes clean and pest free. Pests include other bird species, and who am I to care about the tenants of the nest boxes? Sometimes you just have to look beyond the obvious: if only humans would leave well enough alone.

P.S. I wish I could post shots of Oregon Juncos and House Sparrows exhibiting the same behavior in our flower pots. It happens opten enough, but the greatest part is when the Junco, recognizing that the Brown-headed Cowbird egg is too large to be one of its own, kicks the little parasite out of the nest. The cowbird may be a fairly pretty bird, but I do not like avian parasites at all. Mother Narture can be peculiar, and make like difficult if not deadly for the "parent bird." If you happen upon such a situation, you may well have to let the plant die or water with EXTREME care. I don't know of another way of saving bth bird and plant.

Horse Chestnut trees in my garden on a beautiful bright May spring morning

Mt Mee, Qld.

Shot during the golden-hour period after sunrise on Mt Mee while Johnno was here.

While in the forest, the rangers were burning dead wood and i fell in love with the smoke on light effect.

Two trees before sunrise. One taken only seven minutes after the other. Was very windy this morning and it blew in the clouds quickly. I arrived here an hour before sunrise and waited until after sunrise to get a better Image, but the sun was covered by the clouds until i packed up the camera and tripod. I never got the light i was waiting for. Just as i had walked 50 yards from this spot the sun decided to pop out, creating the light i was looking for and also a rainbow. This seems to be my luck with photography lately, always just missing the best moments by a minute

or two.

Fairytale tree in one of Hedon's waterways.

Tree Mallow (revisited) ................I am quite taken by the blooms on this plant which is a recent discovery for me. Despite the frosts it is still blooming although much of its foliage is beginning to yellow. A bit of research indicates that in certain circumstances it can be somewhat invasive but I am still toying with the idea of adding it to the wild flower garden.

The most amazing old growth trees line the trail at the beginning of the Snoqualmie Valley Traverse trail. The trail begins on the left side of the Big Bridge on the Middle Fork Road.

A closer shot of the tree in the previous image.
